Jason – I spent many years observing the leaders around me and keeping notes on what I thought worked, what didn't and how I would do it as a leader. I really believe that God used that season of my life to prepare me for this season… I'm sure he is doing the same thing with you. Even if you don't have the opportunities to use your leadership muscle yet, keep studying… the time will come. And thanks for the suggestion – I'll definitely consider aiming my thoughts to upcoming leaders.

I have enjoyed getting to "know" you a bit through Twitter. You always have great insight on one of my favorite topics — leadership! One of my fellow staffers made a trip up to your church recently and shared with me that Cross Point is really on the move. If possible, I would like to plan a trip up as well — and maybe squeeze in some meeting time with you while I catch a worship service event.

Jenni – this looks great. Looking forward to reading what you share in 2010. You are definitely a leader worth following. There is one area I would suggest you consider — what are you learning as a communicator? As more leadership opportunities come your way, they will bring more communication opportunities — conferences, vision-casting, staff meetings, etc. I think we would all benefit from what you are learning and how you are growing as a communicator.

Well, I'm not a leader on any level so your leadership pieces aren't really aimed at me but I read them with an eye that perhaps in the future God will graciously place me in such a position. If I'd make any requests it would be for a piece or two over the year from you toward those of us who are potential leaders about how to prepare for when God says go.

Jenni ~ I'm thankful for the time I have gotten to spend with you over the past couple of months. The lines of leadership can be so gray regardless if it's leading my boys, finances or a small group. What is black and white for me is that God has given every women the ability to lead somewhere in some capacity but so often don't because of those shades of gray. I look forward to seeing CultivateHer become a catalyst to inspire and encourage woman to trust that God can and IS using them to lead a in a broken world of shades of gray!
