Cross Point, church administration

Welcome Surratts!

6 Comments 24 September 2009

Working with our team at Cross Point is absolutely one of my greatest joys.  I know I’m biased but I think we have an amazing staff!  These guys are some of my dearest friends.  It feels like we’ve been through it all together – successes, failures, joys, disappoints, tears, and many laughs.

But on the flip side, one of the things that will keep me up many nights is a missing staff member.  For several months our Pastor of Spiritual Formation position has been open and we’ve been actively seeking the person who God has for this role.

We are so excited to announce that we have hired Chris Surratt for this role!  Chris and his Jenny and their two girls, Brianna (10) and Ashlynn (6) are moving to Nashville from Greenville, SC where Chris served as Campus Pastor for Seacoast Church.

In his role at Cross Point, Chris will be overseeing spiritual development for all three (soon to be four) of our campuses.  Specifically, Chris will pastor our community group leaders and provide direction to the spiritual health and development of our church.  (And he’ll also be helping me a ton as we continue to develop our multi-site systems and strategy.)

Personally, I’m so excited to have some of the Surratt family a part of our team.  I’m such a fan of the leadership of Greg, Geoff, Sherry and the entire Seacoast team.  Thank you guys for sharing Chris & family with us! :)
